Manila – Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Teresita Quintos Deles on Monday said that the peace process with the Communist Party of the Philippines/New People’s Army/National Democratic Front (CPP/NPA/NDF) should have a clear agenda for ending violence and bringing peace to the people.

In developing a new approach to peace negotiations with the Communist rebels, the government is undertaking discussions and consultations with civil society groups and various sectors, according to Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Teresita Quintos Deles.

Manila, 15 March 2013 -- Civil society organizations today walked for peace from the EDSA People Power monument to the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Friday to call on the Government of the Philippines (GPH) and the Communist Party of the Philippines/New People’s Army/National Democratic Front (CPP/NPA/NDF) to return to the peace table.

Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Teresita Quintos Deles on Wednesday said that the composition of the Bangsamoro Transition Commission (TransCom), a body mandated to draft the Bangsamoro Basic Law as provided in the Framework Agreement on the Bangsamoro (FAB), “shall have gender, ethnic and generational balance.”
